In Schedule 1, the police are one of the main threats to your criminal empire. Whether you’re transporting contraband, running from a raid, or trying to avoid a routine checkpoint search, understanding how the law works in Hyland Point is key to survival.
How Police Work in Schedule 1
Police officers are hostile NPCs who patrol the streets on foot and in vehicles. They’re stationed at checkpoints, respond to 911 calls, and actively pursue players based on their wanted level. They’re primarily found in Downtown, where the police department is located, but can appear across all regions.
Wanted Levels in Schedule 1
Your wanted level determines how aggressively the police pursue you. It escalates based on your actions (violence, drug possession, fleeing, etc.).
Police Equipment
Flashlight: Used at night during patrols.
Stun Gun: Used at the “WANTED” level.
Pistol (M1911): Used at the “WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE” level.
Baton: Carried but currently unused.
How to Escape the Police in Schedule 1
Run: Outpace the police on foot or with a vehicle.
Hide: Use dumpsters, shrubs, and large trees to break line of sight.
Enter Owned Properties: If you’re out of sight, entering your own property will end the chase.
The key is to break visual contact and wait until your wanted level resets.
Checkpoints
Checkpoints are static police setups across Hyland Point where vehicles are blocked by barriers.
You must exit your vehicle.
Police will body search and vehicle search you.
If cleared, the barrier will lower and you’ll be allowed through.
If contraband is found, your wanted level increases and you’ll be pursued.
Body Searches
Police can initiate a search when:
You look directly at an officer for too long.
You stand idle near a cop.
You approach a checkpoint.
During a search, you can attempt to hide one item by holding left-click in a slot. If caught with illegal goods, you’ll be marked Under Arrest immediately.
